My name is Josh Nowak. I never thought I would become a pilot until I did my discovery flight back in 2018. I began my career here at Halls, working on my private pilot license in 5319D. I completed high school at SMCC Monroe and pursued a degree in Aviation Flight Science at Western Michigan University. After earning my degree, I trained at Three Rivers for my CFI and CFII certifications. Afterwards, I returned home to become an instructor where my journey started.
I have experience flying Cessna 172s, Cirrus SR20s, Piper Seminoles, and Piper Cherokees. Some of my fondest memories of flying include flying with friends and family, as well as night flights over the Detroit River. As an instructor, my goal is to inspire passion in my students, making flight training a fun experience while ensuring they become excellent and safe pilots.
